1. Agreement
By using SiteGuardrail, you agree to these terms and the privacy policy. If you do not agree, do not submit a scan or purchase a report.
2. Permitted use
Use the service for a site you own, operate, are authorised to assess, or are otherwise lawfully permitted to request through a passive public-web check. You remain responsible for determining whether your use is authorised and lawful.
3. Prohibited use
You must not use SiteGuardrail to:
- harass, threaten, extort, or publicly shame a site owner;
- obtain, validate, or exploit credentials or private data;
- evade rate limits, probe private networks, or disrupt a service;
- misrepresent a report as certification, legal advice, or proof of complete security;
- resell or republish a third party's private report without permission; or
- use automated volume that harms SiteGuardrail or scanned sites.
4. Scan and report limitations
Reports are point-in-time observations of completed public coverage. They can contain false positives, false negatives, incomplete checks, and contextual judgments. A low issue count or high score does not mean a site is secure. A finding does not prove exploitation, compromise, or provider validity unless the report explicitly says so.
5. Payments and report access
A purchase unlocks the identified report for the stated access period; it does not create a subscription, monitoring service, penetration test, warranty, or certification. Keep the report access token private. If a payment succeeds but access is not fulfilled, contact hello@siteguardrail.comwith the report ID and Stripe receipt information. Statutory consumer rights are not limited by these terms.
6. Availability and changes
SiteGuardrail may change checks, scoring, prices, limits, providers, or availability. The service may refuse a target, stop a scan, or restrict access to protect scanned sites, users, cost, and reliability.
7. Your responsibility for remediation
Review findings in context, test changes safely, keep backups, and involve qualified security or legal professionals when the risk warrants it. SiteGuardrail is an engineering aid, not professional advice tailored to your organisation.
8. Liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, SiteGuardrail is provided without a guarantee of uninterrupted operation, complete detection, or fitness for a particular security or compliance purpose. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
